2023 Charity Sale
We are having another sale to raise funds for Socks for Seniors OK. One of our volunteers (who is also a real estate agent) came across a home to be sold by an out-of-state executor who requested the contents of the home be trashed. Rather than trashing her friend's treasured possessions, she suggested holding a charity sale to benefit a 501(c)(3) charity organization, the executor readily agreed. The sale is being organized now and will be held
August 17 - August 18 and August 19 - 10am - 3pm - Cash Only
Lakeshore Estates - 5828 NW 82nd Street
This is a wonderful Charity Sale with a wide variety of items. Furniture includes 2 nice matching recliners, a glass top coffee table, multiple side tables, a dining set (6 chairs, oval table with large leaf) and matching hutch. There is also an organ and an antique fold down desk, buffet and China cabinet. Included is a nice patio set (4 chairs and a table), a lawn mower, multiple lamps, small tables and pictures. We have a whole table of cut glass serving dishes and white wear including some milk glass and multiple bowl and pitcher sets. There are multiple sets of corning wear including the popular cornflower pattern, many small appliances, a microwave, flatware, glasses and sets of dinnerware. There is also an ashtray collection, multiple crocks, ladies' hats, very unique older items, donated by a volunteer who had a booth at various antique malls in the past, including midcentury items and antiques. There is nice Christmas décor, office supplies, tools, books, sewing notions and loads of miscellaneous. Something for everyone!
The entire contents of this beautiful home will be offered for sale to benefit two local non-profit agencies. Some of the larger furniture items have been pre-sold to make room in this wonderful home for more donations. Socks for Seniors OK and Pet Adoption & Welfare Services of OK, a local cat rescue, have joined together to prepare and sell the donated contents of this beautiful, 1800 sf, 3-bedroom residential home. Proceeds of the sale will be equally divided between the two 501(c)(3) charities.
