It is easy to become a volunteer with Socks for Seniors OK, simply contact us. Our volunteers meet throughout the year to prepare items for the gift bags. Preparation consists of pairing socks, taking tags off, sorting jewelry, knitting or crocheting, delivering baskets and large stockings to businesses for donations. The busiest time is when we meet to assemble the men's and women's gift bags and make deliveries to underserved Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities in the Oklahoma City Metro area. This occurs the week after Thanksgiving and the first week of December.
